Join us at the Statehouse on Tuesday, October 18th!
Start your homeschool year off right and head to the Statehouse on October 18th for a fun
and educational event hosted by Christian Home Educators of Ohio!
Capitol Day is a great field trip for students and teacher alike! It provides an important opportunity for home educators to better understand the legislative process in Ohio and how we can positively affect this system. This event is also a wonderful way to fulfill some of the history requirements for your school year!
Come and enjoy engaging speakers, Statehouse tours, legislative updates with Melanie Elsey, an interactive Scavenger Hunt for all our guests, giveaways and more! All students will also receive a beautiful certificate to commemorate the day and their participation.
We hope to see you in October!

Schoenbrunn Village Representative/ Historical Interpreter
A Living History Museum:
Schoenbrunn Village is the site of several Ohio firsts—settlement, church, schoolhouse and code of laws. The village, restored to appear as it did more than two centuries ago, includes the original cemetery and 16 reconstructed log structures, as well as the church and gardens. A visitor center with museum and introductory video will help orient you so that you can experience the village as if you were in the past.
Historical Interpreters will be on site for Capitol Day!
