CHEO greatly appreciates every effort families have made to contact their State Representatives and members of the relevant legislative committees regarding substantial pieces of legislation that will affect home educators in Ohio.

Legislative ALERT
April 24, 2023
There will be important hearings this week on two bills we have been intently tracking for a couple of months.
Substitute Senate Bill 1 (Sub.SB1) and House Bill 11 (HB11) will have hearings tomorrow, Tuesday, April 25, and it is critical for individuals to call or email their legislators regarding these two bills

Ohio Homeschool Notification Explained
Join Melanie Elsey for a helpful walk through the Ohio Homeschool Notification process. For over 25 years, Melanie has faithfully served Ohio families as the legislative liaison for CHEO. With years of experience and a true understanding of our homeschool regulations, she explains this yearly requirement in a simple and easy to understand way…and also provides encouragement for the journey!
