Andrew
Pudewa, Director
Institute for Excellence in Writing
We are pleased to welcome Andrew
Pudewa as our Keynote Speaker for our 25th Anniversary
Convention! He is the director of the Institute for Excellence
in Writing and a homeschooling father of seven. Presenting
throughout North America, he addresses issues relating to teaching,
writing, thinking, spelling, and music with clarity,
insight, practical experience, and humor. His seminars for
parents, students and teachers have helped transform many a
reluctant writer and have equipped educators with powerful tools
to dramatically improve students' skills.
Although he is a graduate of the Talent Education Institute
in Japan and holds a Certificate of Child Brain Development from
the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his best endorsement is from a young
Alaskan boy who called him "the funny man with the
wonderful words." He and his beautiful, heroic wife Robin
currently teach their four youngest children at home in
Atascadero, California.
Andrew was interviewed by homeschool.com and gives not only a
little about the program, but also a little of his background.
You can listen to the interview (one hour) at http://www.audioacrobat.com/play/WZlV3tSs

Phil
Downer
Discipleship Network of
America (DNA)
CHEO welcome Phil Downer as our Keynote Speaker for the 25th
Anniversary Celebration Convention!
We are thrilled and privileged to serve you in our common
desire to be more Christ-like in our marriage, family, church,
work, and reaching others in a gentle and yet bold way with the
love of Jesus Christ. God has called us to do this through Discipleship
Network of America, (
DNA
Ministries), a network of people committed to reaching and
discipling others, serving pastors, church and denominational
leaders, men's ministries, the homeschool community, and
individuals ministering in their homes and at work.
We do not know where we would be if God had not reached us in
the despair and pain of our broken marriage, the pressures of
business, the crisis in relationships, the horror remaining from
combat as a Marine machine gunner, and given us a purpose in our
family, a biblical context for ambition and success, and tools
and practical paths to follow in nurturing and discipling our
six children and reaching others the way we were reached.
Because Christ reached us through godly and committed people,
strategically placed in our lives, we are committed to spend our
remaining days, not only doing the same with others, but
assisting like-minded people, in addition to pastors and
leaders, to be life multipliers. The theme of our ministry is
Winning and Discipling People to Become Disciple Makers. Our
product, with God's help, is spiritual reproduction in the lives
of others who will pursue lifetime discipleship.
Now, in Discipleship Network of America, which we founded on
the twins 14th birthday on
February 14, 2001
, we continue with the same focus and passion with which God
called us over 20 years ago, to go into all the world to make
disciples. Matthew 28:19.
God has been gracious to us in His molding, pruning, and
expanding, through the loss of loved ones, jobs, and
expectations, through which we have seen His hand in a mighty
way, turn suffering into significant growth and meaning.
Because we have lived out His ministry first as a husband and
wife and then as parents, our marriage and family has not only
been the crucible for life change, but has also been the medium
through which we honestly, practically, and transparently share
in a biblical context, life's challenges, joys, tears, failures,
blessings, and eternally significant relationships and events
that we trust will encourage you, equip you, free and release
you to more completely be one of His special and dear
life-changing disciples.

Dianne
Craft, Featured Speaker
CHEO welcomes Dianne Craft to our 25th Anniversary Convention.
Dianne is a former homeschool mom who has 25 years’ experience
teaching children who struggle with learning. She received her
bachelor’s degree in Special Education from St. Cloud State
University and her master’s degree in Special Education from
the University of Northern Colorado. She is also a Certified
Natural Health Professional. Discovering the reason for
children’s struggles with learning and behavior has long been
a passion of Dianne’s. Some children struggle because of a
“glitch” in the processing of information (sometimes
referred to as a learning disability). Others are affected by
ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, sensory integration issues, autism,
Asperger’s syndrome, Down syndrome, and Turner’s syndrome.
Dianne approaches these problems in a unique way, applying the
latest brain research as well as expertise in the biochemical
factors that contribute to children’s behavioral, attention,
and learning struggles. In 1988, Dianne created the Brain
Integration Therapy for Children workshop for parents,
educators, psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational
therapists. In 1993 she began teaching these life-changing
concepts directly to parents in her private consultation
practice, so they could work with their children at home to
remove learning blocks. Since 1997 Dianne has been working as an
educational diagnostician and homeschool consultant in her
private practice, Child Diagnostics, Inc., in Denver, Colorado.
Dianne is the author of the Brain Integration Therapy Manual
and the Right Brain Phonics Reading Book. She has also
produced an audio tape series, “The Biology of Behavior,”
the Teaching Your Right Brain Child video, the video
series “Understanding and Helping the Struggling Learner,”
and other teaching tools that make learning easier for children.
Dianne lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband Ron, a CPA.
