FAQs for Capitol Day 2013
(If you would like to download this information in a PDF file, please click here.)
Registration will close at midnight on Monday, September 30.
When should I arrive?
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. When you enter the Statehouse (1 Capitol Square, Columbus) we hope to have CHEO Representatives (wearing name badges) at several entrances to help direct you to the Statehouse Atrium to check-in at the CHEO Table. IMPORTANT: When entering or exiting the Senate or House Sessions, please be as quiet as possible.
Where can I park?
Parking in the Statehouse Garage is $5. If the Statehouse parking happens to be FULL, there are parking areas around the Statehouse. Remember, you will be arriving during morning rush hour, please allow extra time.
Who should come?
School-age children are best suited for CHEO Capitol Day. We love babies, but this event is not appropriate for very young children. Since legislative business is often going on in the hallways, baby noises that echo can be a distraction.
