How are Cyber Community (Charter) Schools Different from
Home Education?
Home
educated children are not required to take part in the Ohio Proficiency
Tests;
Community school students have to take all state-mandated tests.
Parents who home educate
exercise their freedom to choose any curriculum they believe best for
their children;
Community school students must use curriculum approved by the governing
authority.
Parents who home educate
are not monitored by public school employees;
Community school parents in home based distance learning are monitored
regularly by a teacher.
Parents who home educate
have the freedom to teach religious content in their curriculum;
State law - ORC 3301.03 (A)(11)(c)-requires that all programs and
operations used by a community school/eSchool must be nonsectarian
(nonreligious). All means all.
CHOOSE FREEDOM,
NOT GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT IN YOUR HOME !!!
